Rental rates are per day or part thereof.

Rental includes Paddle(s), PFD’s, Safety equipment and cartop tie-down gear as needed. (You may bring your own – please see below)

Please note: We do not rent for river races or white water activities.

Payment may be made by cash, Interac E-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard or AMEX only – no debit cards

A Damage Deposit of $300.00 per canoe or kayak is required ~ Visa, MCard, AMEX or Cash ~

NOTE Pedal Kayak Rental requires a $1000.00 deposit

Reservations require 1 day charge payment in advance.

Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance or a 1 Day charge will apply

1 day Rental Reservations are not available for Saturday & Sunday

If available, rentals will be on a ‘first come’ basis.

You will be require to sign an agreement for liability release as well as agreement for cleaning, repair or replacement of lost or damaged equipment at the full retail replacement value plus HST. You must be 18 years of age or older.

IMPORTANT Pick-up & Drop-off Info

Rentals will be available for pickup at the following times:

Weekend rentals may be picked up after 3:00 pm on Friday.

Rentals must be returned by 4:30 pm (we close at 5:00 pm daily).

LATE RETURNS AFTER 5:00 PM WILL BE CHARGED A FEE OF $65.00 (PLUS HST) no exceptions

Otherwise equipment must be returned the next day, by previous arrangement, by opening hours or a charge of $65.00 plus HST will apply. Equipment will not be accepted near or after dark. Equipment left after hours will be subject to a $250.00 charge and the lessee is still fully liablefor the return & safety of the equipment.

Equipment must be returned clean
or there will be a MINIMUM $60.00 cleaning charge.

Long Weekends
Rental bookings for long weekends will be for a minimum of three days only . Anyone wanting to rent for less than that will have to do so on a “first-come-first-served” basis after 12:00 pm on Saturday of the long weekend.

The Coast Guard Regulations / Safety Requirements

Bring your own gear? Here is what we offer, include and why –

PFDs – We offer PFDs that are designed for paddling canoes and kayaks. Boating PFDs are not comfortable for paddling activities and we would like you to wear your PFD.

Safety Gear – We include a throw line that is readily available and will throw. It is used to rescue or be rescued. The bailer has a handle and will scoop much more that the 750 ml volume required. Our pealess whistles are sterilized after every rental. The orange ‘kit’ you may have will make you legal. The light should have a battery.

Tie-Down Gear – We have different sizes/heights of canoe and kayak foam blocks so that we can load your canoe or kayak rental with or without a rack. Straps have camlock buckles which are easy to use and do not scratch the canoe or kayak. Ratchet straps are not permitted.
